About IaAWP

The Iowa Association of Women Police was created in 1982 and is an affiliate member of the International Association of Women Police. IaAWP is an official non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of women in law enforcement.

Every spring IaAWP holds a training conference to promote this mission. Every fall, IaAWP has a business meeting to conduct official business, network, have lunch, and receive training updates. Meeting locations vary. IaAWP publishes a newsletter informing members of: upcoming events, officer safety issues, and previous meeting minutes.

Every member is encouraged to volunteer and take responsibilities for the organization, become involved, and promote professionalism in law enforcement.
