WINNESHIEK COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT IS SEEKING TO HIRE TWO FULL-TIME 911

TELECOMMUNICATORS. THIS POSITION WILL ANSWER 911 EMERGENCY CALLS AND

NON-EMERGENCY CALLS. THE CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN ACCURATE, ESSENTIAL

INFORMATION TO PROCESS EACH CALL ACCORDING TO ESTABLISHED PROTOCOLS.

TELECOMMUNICATOR CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI-TASK, MAKE IMPORTANT DECISIONS

QUICKLY, HANDLE INCOMING CALLS, PROCESS INFORMATION PROMPTLY WHILE UNDER

STRESS, OPERATE APPROPRIATE RADIO CHANNELS, AND OPERATE VARIOUS COMPUTER

APPLICATIONS AND WORK WELL IN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT. ADDITIONALLY, CANDIDATES MUST

BE ABLE TO WORK VARIOUS SHIFTS, HOLIDAYS AND WEEKENDS. PREVIOUS TELECOMMUNICATOR
